During the month of June -- Indigenous History Month -- my friend and colleague is taking us into his community to share his culture and customs. Jonathan Kruger is a past Chief of the Penticton Indian Band in Canada’s Okanagan Valley, and present day Director of Indigenous Relations for Sodexo Canada.
Armed with his smart phone and a deep pride in his heritage, Jonathan is sharing his stories. I have a lot to learn from Jonathan. I caught up him recently at a celebration of Indigenous economic development and excellence. Jonathan was by far the best-dressed person in the room. He was wearing a very special ribbon shirt.
